Former LED ZEPPELIN Frontman Launches Attack On British Pop Star

Former LED ZEPPELIN frontman Robert Plant has launched an outspoken attack on British pop star Robbie Williams (ex-TAKE THAT),branding him a "jerk" who will never crack the lucrative American market.

Speaking at the launch of a new college record label in Kidderminster, near where he lives, Plant said Williams "can't sing".

Robert hoped the new record label at Kidderminster College would be able to unearth and nurture new talent in his home county of Worcestershire.

"There is so much exciting talent out there - you've got to go out and find it, " he said. Plant added that he found Williams' music old-fashioned.

"I can't see the entrails of TAKE THAT making any waves."

The 54-year-old singer has agreed to become patron of the Mighty Atom Smasher label, which is run by students on the Music Industry Management course at the college.

In his speech, the 54-year-old singer, who lives at Shatterford, near Kidderminster, said his home county had produced a lot of talented performers in the past.

"I hope this will help put Worcestershire back on the map."
